Atlanta Emerging Librarians (AEL) and the Metro Atlanta Library Association (MALA) invite you to a jointly sponsored program featuring speakers from your friendly neighborhood public libraries for students and new graduates/librarians.

We will be meeting at the Buckhead Branch Library of Atlanta-Fulton County Public Library (AFPL), 269 Buckhead Ave. NE off of Peachtree Rd. NE, 404.814.3500

We have three speakers presenting--Eileen Slough, Children's Librarian at the Buckhead Library (AFPL), Amy Billings, Events/Outreach Manager of Gwinnett County Public Library, and Myguail Chappel, Library Take-Out Services, DeKalb County Public Library.

As usual, the meeting will begin with a brief time for mingling. Light snacks will be provided.  We hope to see you there.

AEL formed in early 2008 desiring to create in-person connections between distance education library, information, and media science students as well as new graduates living in the Atlanta area.

The AEL group is affiliated with the Georgia Library Association's (GLA) New Members Round Table. The AEL planning group is comprised of Ashley Dupuy, chair, Charlene Gross, Kat RobinSun, Bridget Summerour, and Sarah Steiner. We welcome any questions or ideas for future meetings.
